Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion for the Lord Jesus our savior.

  • WORSHIP AS PRIORITY

We believe that the highest purpose of man is to worship and glorify God.

    (Ps. 5:7-8, 22:27-29; 34:1-3; 95:6-7; 99:9,100:4; Mt. 4:10; Jn. 4:23-24; Rom. 12:1; Heb.13:15; Rev.15:3-4)

  • INTIMACY WITH GOD IS AVAILABLE

We believe God desires an intimate relationship with all people. Through prayer, meditation, worship, and Bible study, we can pursue and achieve intimacy with the Father.

    (Dt. 6:5, Ps. 73:28, Dan. 9:4, John 15:9-17, Eph. 3, James 4:8, 1 John)

  • COMMITMENT TO SOUND DOCTRINE IS A MUST

We seek to teach the Word of God in the power of the Holy Spirit, to nourish and empower people to fulfill their God-ordained, created purpose and ministry.

    (Rom. 6:17; 1 Tim. 6:3-6; 2 Tim. 1:13; Titus 1:913-14, 2:1)

  • MINISTRY TO THE FAMILY IS BIBLICAL

The biblically modeled family is God's foundational social and governmental unit and is to be nourished, served and preserved as such. Fundamental to this value is the sanctity of marriage, biblical sexuality and human life.

    (Gen. 2:24; Ps. 139; Matt. 19:4-5; Mk. 10:6-9; Rom. 1:18-32; 1 Cor. 7:2; Eph. 5)

  • AUTHENTIC COMMUNITY PRODUCES UNITY

We believe accountability, care, and a sense of belonging are critical to balance and progress in our spiritual journey. These things are best achieved within the context of a group of like-minded, relationally connected believers.

    (Ex 19:3-6; Lev 26:12; Deut 7:6-8; 2 Chron 7:12-16; Ps 95:7; Rom 9:25; 1 Peter 2:4-10)

  • GOD'S LOVE BRINGS WHOLENESS

A Holy Spirit controlled climate is the atmosphere which most readily births living hope, fosters true spiritual health, and produces practical holiness, and a life of freedom from condemnation, and shame.

    (Ex. 15:25-26; 23:25 Ps. 34:19,103:2-3; Is. 53:3; Mal. 4:2; Rom.8:1-2; Eph. 2:14; 2 Tim.1:7; Jas. 5:13-16)

  • FAITH FILLED PRAYER PRODUCES REAL RESULTS

Prayer and faithful intercession allow us to enter a partnership with God, to see ourselves, our circumstances, our church, and our families changed.

    (Ps. 55:16-17; Lk. 18:1; Eph. 6:18; 1 Thess. 5:17; 1 Tim. 2:1-2; Jas. 5:16-18)

  • YOU CAN’T OUTGIVE GOD

All that we have comes from our heavenly Father. We are entrusted as stewards of these resources to use them generously and joyously in the work of the Kingdom. We are obedient in this area as we give in tithes and offerings through the local church. Through this obedience, God prospers his children.

    (Gen. 28:22; Lev. 27:30; Deut. 15:10; Ps. 15; Prv. 3:9-10, 23, 11:25; Mal. 3:8-12; 2 Cor. 9:6-12)

Where We’ve Come From

After two decades of Missionary work and Church leadership, New Covenant Church was founded by Sam and Yvette Fisher in September of 2002. Our first meeting was under a gazebo on Lake Tyler where attendees had to BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair)!

Where We’re Headed

Ultimately, NCC is committed to helping the hurting find health and the healthy find purpose. We have a goal of seeing 600 people enter our Next Step Process of discipleship by the church's 25th anniversary in 2026.

What This Means For You

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always wanted at NCC. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll be welcomed and embraced.
